Sectionals at Colburn Park in Green Bay on Saturday 24 October

For those of you who didn’t hear, we had a very good conference meet tonight.
The boys finished 9th, which is where I projected them to finish. This girls finished 5th.
The only schools that beat them were division 2 schools. Luckily, at sectionals, we will only race against division 3 teams.
Sectionals is on Saturday, 10/24 at Colburn Park in Green Bay.
The address is
600 North Fisk Street
Green Bay
54303.
Admission & Parking
There is no per person addmision, but it is $5 to park in the lots. You can park on the street for free. This is part of the WIAA tournament, so the roster will be limited (varsity only) and the rules will be strictly followed.
Schedule
The schedule is:
Noon: Bus leaves SMC
2:15: Girls Race: Rachel, Haley, Jennifer, Courtney G, Natalie U, Kelly, Leah (Alt. Courtney W)
3:00: Boys Race: Jacob, Nick, Dan, Corbin, Theo
The rest of the team is allow to ride the bus to come and cheer.
The way the WIAA tournament works is that every team qualifies for sectionals with a maximum roster of 7. The top 2 teams at sectionals and the top 5 individuals not on those 2 teams qualify for state. Our girls team has a chance of qualifying as a team, as well as Rachel, Haley, or Jennifer as individuals. Unfortunately for the boys, the competition at our sectionals for the boys is very strong.
As far as practice, Friday 10/16 is required for everyone. Next week, practice is required for those running at sectionals (plus Courtney W). Practice is optional for everyone else. If you are not running at sectionals, please wash and turn in your uniform.
With Sectionals this coming week, the practice schedule will be:
Monday – O’Hauser, end at 5:00
Tuesday – O’Hauser, end at 5:15
Wednesday – SMC, end at 5:15
Thursday – O’Hauser, end at 4:45
Friday – SMC, short practice then Pasta Party at the Thelens. I’ll send more details in a day or two.
Let me know if you have any questions
